This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. Anaheim Residents Directory is privately operated. It cannot retrieve records, certify copies, verify who lives at an address, or change a government roll or database. Send those requests to the agency or court that keeps the record. For emergencies, dial 911. If you believe you are being stalked or harassed, contact local police.
Looking for a Specific Record?
The right first contact depends on the kind of Anaheim record being sought:
- Who owns or lives along a street: start with the Anaheim street directory address route
- Old directory volumes and past residents: use the Anaheim city directory collections
- Finding or verifying one person: use the Anaheim resident lookup walkthrough
- The offices behind the rolls: see Anaheim resident records offices
- Records not available online: submit a request under the California Public Records Act (CPRA), Government Code ยงยง7920.000 et seq., to the relevant custodian

CPRA requests: Use the Anaheim public-record request form when the needed city record is not already online. Mail or deliver it to the Custodian of Records, Office of the City Clerk, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd., Suite 217, Anaheim, CA 92805, or send it by email or fax using the contact above. The city generally decides within ten calendar days whether the records are disclosable; that is a determination deadline, not a promise that production will be complete by then. Inspection requires an appointment, and direct duplication or mailing charges may apply.
North County Clerk-Recorder: For Orange County recorded-property copies, vital records, marriage services, fictitious business names, notary registration, or passports, the Anaheim branch is at 222 S. Most clerk services require an in-person application. The RecorderWorks grantor-grantee index is a free index for 1982-present instruments, but it does not display document images.
